ABOUT US

Founded officially in 2012, Tornado Valley Calls began as a hobby and has now come full circle into a business that is on my mind daily.  I first cut my teeth in call making in the early 2000s, when my dad and I made a slate turkey call for a hunting trip I was going on.  Having a successful hunt with a call that I personally made was unlike any experience I had ever had while hunting.  I didn’t start messing with making duck calls until I was in graduate school.  Drawings of call ideas littered every available area around my class notes.  I thought “how hard could it be?”  Little did I know how many hours and toneboards I would go through before designing something I was completely happy with.  The company name, Tornado Valley Calls was derived from being located in the region commonly referred to as “tornado valley or alley”, due to our extreme storms that we experience in Oklahoma.  I also related the tornado to the crazy funnels of waterfowl that can be experienced while hunting, and the business was born!

 ABOUT ME

My name is Brandon Lewelling. I live with my wife, Seirra and black lab, Timber in my hometown where I grew up, Newalla, Oklahoma.  Although I would love to make calls full time, I can usually be found working at my fulltime job as a physical therapist.  I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2012 with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy and have since been working with a wide range of patients in the outpatient setting. I enjoy chasing all forms of game including whitetail and turkeys, but I enjoy chasing waterfowl with good friends and my lab, Timber the most.
